The ascorvic acid level in blood of 20 cases of partients and the fetal cord blood of 20 cases was determined by Shaffert and Kingsley method.
The results obtained are as follows .
1) The -mean value .of ascorbic acid- in the maternal blood was 0,44 0.12mg/dl.
2) The mean value of ascorbic acid. .in -fetal cord blood was 1.095 0.40mg/dl.
3) The mean value of ascorbic acid of the cord blood was about 2.5 times higher than that, of the maternal blood.
